Dr. Xu started 803 Dental because he was tired of the way things worked in corporate dentistry—where treatment plans were often influenced by profit goals instead of what patients actually needed. He wanted to create a place where people could get honest, no-pressure care with fair pricing and clear communication.

Dr. Xu earned his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology with honors from the University of Toronto before heading to NYU College of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He graduated in the top 3% of his class and was awarded the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor for academic excellence.

After dental school, he completed a highly regarded residency at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, where he was named Resident of the Year. Dr. Xu practiced in New York for several years before making the move to Charlotte, bringing with him a passion for honest, patient-focused care.
